Antique mirror in turned wood imitating bamboo, 43 x 49 cm

Antique wall mirror in turned wood imitating bamboo, dating from the late 19th or early 20th century. The whole mirror measures 43 cm wide by 49 cm high, including the frame. The original mirror shows very marked alteration of the tin, particularly visible on the surface, with branched oxidation patterns and areas of detachment. This phenomenon gives the mirror a very expressive pictorial appearance. The back is made of veneered wood, held by old metal legs and a hanging chain still present. The whole is stable, the wooden frame is in good structural condition, with a uniform patina.
