Description
Art deco "terre de fer" standing dish: round format, pretty graphic frieze on the perimeter of the dish & base = rotterdam motif. Stamp partly erased, manufacture a & c (salins france) In earthenware with creamy white glaze, decoration applied in dark blue petrol. Iron earth = fine earthenware close to porcelain (addition of kaolin & feldspar), invented around 1770 & very popular around 1900'.
