True antiquity, this herzogthum nassau sandstone bottle has survived the ages to reach us. It is an old bottle of sparkling water from the exploitation of natural springs, which was exported by the duchy of nassau to germany. It bears the stamp "herzogthum nassau" which makes it possible to identify its provenance. The word "selters" surrounds an image of a crowned lion, and refers to sparkling water (from which the word seltzer derives from elsewhere). The exploitation of the springs extended between the end of the 18th century and the beginning of the 19th century. This sandstone bottle has a handle, below which is the inscription ms39 (probably a numbering of the series). It is in an excellent state of conservation given its great age (between 150 and 200 years). A similar bottle is also kept at the louvre museum. You will have understood it: by adopting it you adopt not only a decorative object, but a real part of european history. Do not hesitate to consult my other ads: I propose other pieces in stoneware. Height: 29.5 cm, diameter at the base: 9cm, neck diameter: 2.5cm.
