African mask Kumu - Ethnic decoration of Congo

This african mask of the kumu or komo ethnic group embodies all the ritual and sculptural power of africa. Wooden mask used during initiation rites in the bush away from the village, in the ituri region. It comes from an important belgian private collection. For an optimal presentation, the mask is supplied with its personalized support for a total height of 41 cm.
