Pair of yunomi called meoto yunomi (meoto means "married couple"). Meoto yunomi usually consist of two cups with the same pattern (sometimes different colors) but different sizes and often slightly different shapes. Delivered in their original wooden box, called tomobako, signed by hand by the potter and with his seal. The potter is yukata ohashi, he was born in 1944. He was inspired to do traditional kishidake-style karatsu. He built a noborigama, an old-style kiln near the ancient sarayama kiln area. Famous place of japanese pottery of high quality. His style is now well known and much appreciated by japanese and international karatsu collectors. Karatsu tableware (唐津焼) is a style of japanese pottery traditionally produced in and around karatsu, saga prefecture. Karatsu has been a hub of foreign trade since ancient times and a center of pottery production since the azuchi-momoyama period. It is believed that the techniques used in the creation of karatsu items were imported from the korean peninsula during the japanese invasions of korea in the late sixteenth century, although some theories suggest that the techniques could have been used before this period. Karatsu items were originally created for everyday items such as tableware, pitchers, and other household items. The style is considered a good example of wabi-sabi aesthetics, and karatsu bowls, plates and other utensils are often used in tea ceremonies. The cups are in very good condition without lack or fele, the original wooden box meanwhile shows visible signs of aging. The largest cup is 8.5 cm tall and 6.5 cm at the base. The smallest is 8 cm tall and 6 cm at the base.
