Flexible articulated desk lamp

This pretty lacquered metal lamp in a beautiful orange-red color will add a vintage touch to a desk or make an original bedside lamp. Practical, with its flexible arm in all directions, it also has a very good balance whatever its position: in fact, one might think that its elegant but very thin base would not be imposing enough to support the lamp but it does not. Is nothing because it is weighted. These flexible lamps have been on all teenagers' desks for decades, but given certain elements of this one (shape of the switch, two-part lampshade, etc.) I would say that it dates more from the 60s or 70s. On the switch there are a large number of small stamps hollowed out in the plastic, corresponding to various standards, not always easy to decipher even with a magnifying glass, but I managed to read the one which indicates that this lamp was manufactured in france. It is designed for a small socket bulb (e14) with a maximum power of 40 watts (the small round label indicating this is still stuck inside the lampshade). It is in good general condition, I tested it, it works, the red plastic corrugated hose has no cracks. But it does not hide some small signs of its age and use: the edge of the plastic socket is a little crumbled, but this is not visible because it is located in the lampshade and this does not bring into question causes the lamp to function properly, some small losses of red lacquer on the metal parts (the most important (2mm²) is the one in the close-up photo, on the upper rear part of the lampshade), as well as some small marks, scratches or stains, rather discreet overall. This lamp measures 45 cm in height when unfolded, the base measures 16 cm by 12 cm, the lampshade measures 15 cm in length and 12.5 cm in diameter when opened. The cable measures 155 cm in length.
