Scailmont ouraline glass bottle and toilet pots set

Period: ca. 1910-1920. A set of five pieces comprising three bottles of different sizes, an oblong bowl and a lid jar. The color is an apple green but that takes on a fluorescent hue if you would ever illuminate it with uv light. The glass is pressed moulded and has geometric patterns all over the surface. The seams are rough in some places, such as on the caps, but this is normal for this type of glassware produced more than a hundred years ago. The bowl bears the mark of scailmont manage glassworks on the underside. This is called ouraline glass; it was produced by adding a small (non-harmful) amount of uranium as a pigment to obtain the special greenish color. The glassworks of scailmont was a glass factory established in belgium (hainaut, manage) in 1901 and was particularly famous for its works art deco like those of charles catteau. State: Very well.
